Marlene was an amazing hostess. Very responsive! She was proactive and provided recommendations for the area. She even dropped off additional items as needed. She made arrangements to extend our stay and worked with us when our plans were up in the air! Definitely would recommend staying in her home!

Green Bungalow - Pet Friendly

CassandraRating, 5 stars2 days ago
I love this house! It's really beautiful and peaceful and the neighborhood is low-traffic and quiet with friendly people. The living room is super cozy and comfortable and the kitchen is really big and open which is nice to have. The backyard is really big and they keep it well maintained, which was great since I had my dog with me. I also always appreciate having a covered patio outside. The hosts are super sweet and very communicative with clear instructions for everything, and they're also realtors so they can help you find a house if you're looking in Tulsa. The location is perfect, it's exactly in the middle of town so you can get to almost everything cool in a matter of minutes. Plus it's right across the street from the beautiful river parks Trail which I loved walking every morning. I had a lovely time here and I didn't want to leave! 😊

Cozy 2 Bedroom Brookside Bungalow

JessicaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We loved our stay! We brought our dogs with us and they loved the fenced in yard. The home is beautiful, cozy, and we loved all the decor! The hosts are incredibly responsive and friendly. Something I thought was fantastic was their guestbook, where they had a list of some of their favorite restaurants! We didn’t try any this time around, but we’ll be booking here again and trying the suggestions next time! Great location, I’d recommend this to anyone looking for a good spot to stay!

National Historic Register Home - Best Location!

LynettaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This historic home was beautiful, immaculate, comfortable, and in a great location for what we needed. Conveniently located to lots of dining options, CVS, coffee…Lots of history about the architect of the home, throughout the home which is on the National Historic Registry. Sarah and her husband were very hospitable upon check-in and Sarah was very quick to respond to me when I needed to contact her. Overall experience was excellent!

Folk Victorian Gem/Edge of Downtown

SteveRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Tim and Jonathan's place was a great stay for me and a friend to visit the downtown area of Tulsa. The location allowed us to walk most everywhere we visited and the accomodations were very comfortable and the extra touches made it feel like home. The 2 separate bedrooms, common space and kitchen were perfect and comfortable. The only thing to mention was with all the windows closed on arrival, the moth-balls smell was quite strong and it took some time to air out the rooms. I would recommend this place to others who want a convenient and comfortable place near the heart of Tulsa's downtown.

Lovely home. Great neighborhood with a walking trail right outside. The house is wonderful and spacious, clean and well stocked with anything you could need for a comfortable stay. I felt very much at home here. Lots of delicious restaurants surrounding the neighborhood. Rick is a wonderful host and always responds to inquiries quickly and politely. I can't say enough about how pleased I was with my week staying here.

Tiny House On Cincinnati

RichardRating, 5 stars5 days ago
The place was small, but that made it cozy. It had all the room I needed. The bedroom is upstairs, yet the stairs are more like a ladder. I would turn around and face backwards when I went downstairs. It has a couple of space heaters if you are cold, and a window air conditioner if you are hot. All told, the best thing is the location. It is across the street from Maple Ridge restaurant, Grocer, and Bishop Quigley. And a 5 minute walk from the Mercury Lounge. A 20 minute walk from the great selection of restaurants at Cherry Street. It isn’t fancy, but it is comfortable. I will definitely stay here again.

Your guide to Tulsa

Welcome to Tulsa

An oil town with artsy swagger, Tulsa is best known for its green spaces, fine craft beers, and dynamic museum scene, which includes the Gilcrease Museum, home to more than 350,000 artifacts from Indigenous peoples that will help you understand the history, settlement, and expansion of Oklahoma. The Woody Guthrie Center pays homage to one of the great American folk singers and songwriters, further spreading the cultural values for which he stood. Though visual arts abound in Oklahoma’s second-largest city, so too do other forms of creative expression. The Tulsa Performing Arts Center hosts the city’s ballet, opera, and symphony, as well as traveling stage productions.

In Midtown, you’ll find a high concentration of independent shops and some of the city’s best craft breweries. Tulsa also was the site of the tragic 1921 Tulsa Race Riot, when the Greenwood District — home to successful entrepreneurs in the 1920s, earning it the nickname of Black Wall Street — was burned to the ground, killing more than 300 people. The Greenwood Cultural Center now tells the story of the massacre through the lens of preserving the African American community’s heritage and shining a spotlight on its achievements.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Tulsa

Spring and fall are pleasant times to be in Tulsa, as Oklahoma summers can be very hot and humid. October in particular is balmy and devoid of heavy crowds. Winter can dip below freezing, with ice and snow not uncommon in December, January, and February. The free, four-day Muscogee (Creek) Nation Festival over the fourth weekend in June is a great opportunity to learn more about the culture and history of the self-governed Native American tribe, the fourth-largest in the United States, who reside in this area of Oklahoma.

Top things to do in Tulsa

Philbrook Museum of Art

Set in a sprawling 72-room Italian Renaissance mansion built in the Roaring ’20s, the Philbrook Museum of Art’s permanent collections include American Indian pottery and basketry alongside American and European paintings; it also specializes in bringing diverse and globally acclaimed exhibits to Tulsa. The extensive English gardens and walking paths that surround the villa round out this 27-acre estate.

The Kendall Whittier District

A shining example of the importance of incentive-driven revitalization in urban cores, the award-winning neighborhood of Kendall Whittier now houses food trucks, a food hall, public art, artist studios, breweries, and rotating markets.

Gathering Place

Set along the Arkansas River, this $500 million outdoor wonderland was gifted to the city by the George Kaiser Family Foundation. Fusing art with green space in a riverfront setting, Gathering Place incorporates grottos, waterfalls, special installations, and sculptures that double as slides alongside tennis courts, a skate park, and water activities like kayaking and paddleboating.
